If you know me, you know my cat… Jefferson Winston Churchill may just be a cat but to me he’s so much more. I got Jefferson in 2018 while struggling with immense mental health difficulties. Jeff has been my life line for the past almost 7 years. Unfortunately on 8.13.2025 Jeff was attacked by a dog inside of a home while I was pet sitting. After a couple of minutes I was able to separate the dog and Jeff but immediately had to rush Jefferson to an emergency veterinary practice. So far Jeff has undergone three surgeries and has to be fed through a feeding tube. As of today 8.14.25 his earliest discharge date could be 8.15.25 (tomorrow). We still aren’t sure how much this is actually going to cost. But when I spoke with his veterinarian this morning they had already reached 5k in surgical charges. Jeff does have pet insurance, however as he’s an indoor cat and no one ever expects something like this to happen, it does cap out at 5k. I have never made a go fund me before and I never thought I would for my cat but at this point I would move Mount Everest if that meant my little guy came home safe and sound.
