Jeff Hurlburt has always been a hardworking man and a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army. He worked at Vermont Castings for over 30 years, dedicating himself to his job and his family. His son, Travis Hurlburt, also lives in the home and has been deeply affected by this tragedy. Recently, a grease fire broke out while they were cooking, resulting in unreparable damages to the home and their belongings. The loss was devastating, and to make matters worse, Jeff and Travis did not have insurance to cover the damages. Their home, which Jeff had worked so hard to pay off, is now gone. On top of this, Jeff has been facing ongoing medical issues, making this loss even more overwhelming and difficult to recover from.
Right now, Jeff and Travis are in urgent need of support. The funds raised will go directly toward helping them secure temporary housing, purchase clothing and food, and begin the long process of rebuilding their lives. Our hope is to eventually help them rebuild their home so they can have a safe and stable place to live once again. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference in helping them get back on their feet after this unimaginable loss.
I know for many like my uncle Jeff and cousin Travis, especially this time of year, money is tight. We are extremely thankful to any and all who can and are willing to donate to help get them back on their feet. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to our family, and we are deeply grateful for your support during this difficult time.
