Hello everyone, my name is Candace. I’m starting this GoFundMe for my brother Jeff. Back in July, he thought he was sick with a sore throat. He went to the walk-in clinic to get checked, but they couldn’t find anything wrong, so he left with no answers and nothing to help him get better. The pain continued and got worse, and he had a lump growing on the right side of his throat/neck. He finally was able to get in to see his family doctor, and after several tests, CT scans, MRI, ultrasounds, blood work, and 2 PET scans, he was diagnosed on 11/10/2025 with Squamous Cell Carcinoma Cancer (tongue and throat cancer). He had to miss a lot of work because of all the doctor appointments but continued to work both his full-time and part-time jobs as much as possible despite not feeling well, being in a lot of pain, and not being able to eat or sleep well.

He has officially started treatment on 12/10/25. Radiation is 5 days a week, Monday-Friday, and chemotherapy is on Wednesdays every week for 8 weeks. The decision was made that his last day at his full-time job would be 12/13/25, so with that comes the huge burden of being able to pay all his monthly bills (rent, utilities, cell phone, auto insurance, child support, food, and medical bills). He should get short-term disability, but that takes several weeks to start receiving, and as you all know, bills don’t stop or wait.

I know times are tough for most of us with the rising cost of living, but if you have any extra to give, I would ask that you consider donating to Jeff. He has always been such a responsible hard worker and never asked for a handout, so this is very hard for him to ask for financial help, but he knows that in order to be able to get through this, he is going to need the help of all his family and friends. We completely understand if you just can’t help financially. We ask that you please keep him in your prayers and share this with your family and friends on your social media.
