Hello All, My name is Kara and my sister Kelly and I are reaching out looking for help for our beloved Step Dad, our only Dad, "Daddy~O" Jeff Strom. Jeff was diagnosed with terminal cancer in December of 2020. He hadn't been able to work for several months prior to his diagnosis due to his massive pain throughout his body. Jeff had been a landscaper for many families on the Harbor for over 30 yrs and loved his job and his customer, but could no longer work. Many doctors appointments took over him and my sister Kelly's life for the last 14 months, and in the midst of all the sadness, appointments, treatments, and caregiving needs, Jeff's water bill had not been paid since roughly Summer of 2020. Because of the Covid memorandums, Jeff's water hadn't been shut off because it was illegal to do so. Now that the memorandum has been lifted, he has astronomical Water Bill with the City of Aberdeen and they are coming after him for it. There has also been, unknown to him, a water leak that has added to water bill getting so high. He is living on a miniscule amount of Social Security and has no way to pay this bill back. Sadly, this small amount of social security is too much money for him to get help from state programs for help with the bills. He does not even qualify for any food stamps for help buying the very expensive Boost Drinks that he likes to drink as he is struggling with eating food a lot of the time. Please help us help him get caught up on all of his bills so he can have his piece of mind back and focus on his treatments and on living. Thank you all so very much in advance and anything will help!
