Hi, I'm Jeff Seymour. I’ve spent over 40 years in the entertainment industry as an actor, director, writer, and acting coach. I’m raising money for a very exciting and worthwhile artistic project.

An actor’s talent is nothing without an opportunity to act. You could be the most talented actor on the planet but without opportunity, yours is a tale that is never told.

When I was putting my feature film together, I was warned time and time again that I should be sure to hire a “name” or two, to insure financial success. You’ve seen this kind of thing. A name actor is featured on the poster of a small film and when you watch the film, the name actor is hardly in it. The actor was used to insure foreign sales of the movie somewhere in the world allowing the investors to breath a little easier.

This is what I was told I needed to do in order to raise money from traditional movie funding sources. Not only that, but my primary cast would need to be recognizable enough to warrant even more pre-sales.

I understand that, but here’s the thing; I want to hire actors for the reasons I want to hire them. Specifically because they are the best person for the job and they deserve it. And if an actor I choose ends up working on a regular basis, I know the industry will be a better place for it.

Choosing actors based on truth rather than marketability is a risk, but it’s also where real art lives. And ultimately, that’s what lasts.

This is why I went all in, and cast my feature film entirely from the gifted actors I’ve worked with in my 46 years as an acting coach.

Inspired by Robert Altman’s, Short Cuts, I’ve written 10 stories, collectively called, Scenes of a Certain Nature. Its a collection of tales in different settings and genres yet all strangely connected and with twists you never see coming. It’s like a box of assorted chocolates.

Who doesn’t enjoy a box of assorted chocolates?
