I’m reaching out on behalf of two amazing humans, Jeff and Rochelle — a loving couple, lifelong punks, and pillars of the local Mesa punk scene. Right now, they’re going through one of the hardest moments of their lives, and they need our help.

This week, Jeff suffered a serious stroke and is currently in the hospital recovering. Just days earlier, Rochelle had a dialysis port placed in her stomach as she begins treatment for kidney failure — and now she’s facing another surgery on October 3rd due to complications. Despite everything, they’re handling this with love, grit, and humor — just like always.

But love alone can’t pay the rent.

They’re currently struggling to cover the basics — rent, utilities, food, and bills for next month — while juggling two overlapping medical emergencies. Our goal is to raise $2,500 to help ease the pressure so they can focus on healing, not just surviving.

If you know Jeff, you know he’s one of the most loyal, kind-hearted people out there — a true friend and the ultimate gamer, full of retro console knowledge and a HUGE Sega nerd (ask him anything, seriously). I’ve known him for over 20 years — he’s always been someone you can count on, true to his core.

Rochelle is a talented local craft artist and a familiar face in the Mesa punk and art community — always showing up for others with open arms and endless creativity. Right now, she’s by Jeff’s side, worried sick about him while managing her own health and upcoming surgery. They’re both overwhelmed and scared, but their love for each other is keeping them strong.
