I’m setting this up for my best friend and boyfriend, Jeff Sanchez. He has been through so much in the past 7 years. He lost his mom and his dad within 2 years of each other, and recently, he lost his big brother, who he was very close to and always confided in. On top of these heartbreaking losses, Jeff has suffered his second heart attack and a fractured back. Then, just a couple of weeks ago, his brand new trailer was stolen, which he was using to store his Harley—his “baby.”
Jeff and I were going to go out for a ride that day. We drove up to the gated parking area where his trailer was stored, and before we even got out to unlock the gate, I heard him say, “my trailer’s gone!” Someone had stolen his trailer. He was devastated. Those who know Jeff know how much he loves riding and how important it is for him. Riding is his way to relieve stress and feel free. Since that day, Jeff hasn’t been himself—it’s like he lost a piece of himself when he lost that bike.
Sadly, there were no active cameras covering his property, and while no one was hurt (which truly matters most), the financial loss is heavy. Insurance will only cover a small portion, and this theft may mean Jeff never gets back to the pastime that helped him heal.
Jeff will never ask for help, but he’s the person who would drop everything to help someone else—relative, friend, or stranger. That’s why I decided to do this for him. He has done so much for me, and it breaks my heart that I can’t help him myself. I’m not asking for enough money to buy a brand new bike, but just a little to help pay back what he will be losing. Anything will help. He’s just been so down lately, and I want him to know that we are all here for him and how much we appreciate and love him. Anything that might help bring his spirits up—something that will bring back that big-hearted, fun, child-at-heart man that everyone loves!
Thank you for reading, sharing, and supporting in any way you can!
