In January of this year, I was diagnosed with Valley fever, which quickly turned into spinal meningitis. The illness hit me hard—I lost my job and spent two and a half months in the hospital. Since then, I’ve been confined to a wheelchair, and my recovery has been a long and difficult journey. My wife has become the sole provider for our household, working tirelessly to keep us afloat while I focus on healing. I’ve applied for Social Security benefits, but I’ve been told it could take at least a year before I receive any assistance.

Right now, I’m seeking short-term help to get us through to the end of the year. The funds raised will go toward paying off the remaining medical bills from my hospital stay and helping us cover daily expenses. This support would also allow my wife to take a break from working overtime, giving us both a chance to breathe and focus on my recovery.
