Help Jeff recover from L-VAD HEART PUMP surgery.
I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf
of my husband, Jeff Cobb. I am his wife Patricia. Jeff has stage four HEART
FAILURE. He’s only 49, and much to
young to cut ones life short. The only
way left to give him a chance of living,
was perform OPEN HEART SURGERY
and install an L-VAD HEART PUMP.
(Left ventricle assist device, which is a
mechanical heart pump), that
allows the blood to flow through his
body the way it should. Without this
device he would not be with us much
longer. Jeff had the surgery, 03/31/21.
We are far from finished though. In
late August, early September, Jeff will
be placed on the HEART TRANSPLANT
LIST. Another grueling and frightening
surgery.
He has a long road ahead. He
will be at Vanderbilt University Medical
Center for 2-3wks while he heals. When
he comes home, he will have to make
medical trips to hospital every few days for quite awhile. The hospital is close to an hour away and he has to have a 24hr. Caregiver. This is where I too come in. I
will be that Caregiver, which won’t allow me to work at this time. Jeff only gets
disability income due to the loss of his
right leg in 2004, where it all began for
him. The medical expenses that aren’t
covered, the gas back and forth to his
appointments, day to day finances and
bills, will soon be overwhelming.
Although we have two cars, one is very
old with high mileage, but we cross our
fingers and use it because it has workingair in this heat. The newer one, well,
2012, has no air, as the air compressor
went out. So we’re definitely feeling thestruggle at this time.
I know with this crazy thing called Covid
and the Pandemic, life is a struggle for a lot of us. I know that this is a terrible
time to be reaching out to our friends
and family for help, but we really need
you right now. Even if it’s just $5, that
smaller gesture can go towards a bill we may be $5 short on. If all you can afford to do is Pray for Jeff and myself, we are
deeply appreciative just for having you
in our lives.
Whatever gesture you choose, just
know that both Jeff and I are so very
grateful. May God Bless all of you just
for simply reading our struggle.
Sincerely,
The Cobbs ♥️♥️♥️
