Hi. My name is Jeff. I'm an aspiring social media and YouTube guy. I live the vanlife. My van is my home. I've lived on the road over 23 years. My van is old and has a lot of problems. It could not pass a smog test. So I couldn't renew my registration. I was trying to fix it. I was broke and needed help. But, the police came, forced me out, grabbed me, hand cuffed me, searched me, treated me like a criminal, took my van away with everything I own and need for survival and left me homeless on the street with nothing. I have a perfect record so they couldn't arrest me, so instead they arrested my van and threw it jail. Impound at $85 a day. They buried me alive in fees. I was already broke. I'm deeper in debt every day. Now I live homeless on the street. I was totally shocked. I thought the police were supposed to help, serve and protect. But, instead it was abuse, neglect and reject. I bet they wouldn't do that to their own mother and father? But, they did that to me a poor 66 year old senior citizen living homeless in a rusty old van. I think that is Elder Abuse, police brutality and inhumane. Instead of helping me, they hurt me. They dumped me out on the street and abandoned me. Other police were understanding and said we don't want to take your house away so just move on. But, these guys were totally out to seize my property. No compassion. No mercy. Police have the discretion whether to be easy or hard. Those chose meaness. Now I wander around day and night trying to survive on the street. I've suffered from depression, financial problems, have 3 hernias and need surgery. I need all the help I can get from anyone willing and able. I'm trying to get my van and all my possessions back and fix it up so I can once again have a home. And get out of the city and flee to the countryside and finally be free from all this oppression. I'd like to go on road trips and invite people to join me. 18-24 and above. YouTube road trip crew. And finally bury the ashes of my grand mother, father, aunt and uncle who have been with me in the van for over ten years. I want to fix and remodel and make the van nice so others can join me on road trips and collaborate in photos and videos for social media. And make my brand and merchandise to sell. So I can make a living on the road. And then I can help others, too. If I can't fix this van, I'll like to get a different motorhome or a back up vehicle for emergencies. A used car or motorcycle. Help me make my dream come true. The life expectancy chart says I only have 18 years left. So time is running out. This is my bucket list. Thank you for reading and listening. Jeff Read.
