My name is Codey, and I'm his partner. Jeff on Friday September 20th, was having tons of pain throughout his whole body and exclaimed it felt like a heart attack but in his stomach and back. His pain scale was a 12 out of 1-10. Then about an hour later, he raised up to 15. For 2 hours he was struggling with pain and couldn't sit still at all, and if you know Jeff, he wants to relax on the weekends after work.
We ended up in the emergency room at Davis Hospital, and after 3 1/2 hours later, 2 CT scans, and a torn Aorta found, he was then life flighted to the University of Utah. He underwent emergency Aorta dissection for 9 hours from about 5:30am - 2:00pm Saturday morning, September 21st.
He then rested and recovered after having an open chest surgery. He had an open chest until Sunday morning at 7:30am - 9:15am when they performed another operation to close his chest and start the full recovery stages.
He's out of surgery and doing well, but he's still not awake at this time. He's very heavily sedated and will be for a few. He is on a slow recovery stage. I'm asking for help with Jeff's insurance deductible that way his insurance can help with the remaining medical bills. He has two kids, and a house to attend to and can't be home due to an emergency. He has no idea what's going on at this time as he's also under amnesia.
Please share this and donate if you can! This man needs all the support he can get whether it be physically, mentally, emotionally, etc.
