On 3/26/24 Jeff was on his way to the ER because he couldn’t breathe. When Chaice got to the hospital Jeff’s oxygen levels were very low, his heart rate was out of control and his body was full of fluid, there was fluid filling his lungs. He was moved out of the ER that night, put on BIPAP and many other workups and treatments. We were told he wouldn’t be going home tonight. Well “tonight” turned into many days and many nights. He ended up in ICU. Unable to walk, unable to have normal conversations, having to be sedated because of what too much CO2 was doing to his brain… Easter night, was the first night since the incident Chaice felt like she had her old dad back…and on 4/2/24, one week after entering the hospital…Jeff is finally home.

Currently, Jeff’s CDL license has been removed and he is unable to work. His priority is recovery and returning to better health so he can get back to work. There are many doctor’s visits, studies to tailor the best treatments, and changes to Jeff’s routine and lifestyle.

❤️ Nobody ever prepares themselves for a scary moment like this, Chaice had no clue what was going to happen… all we can say is God is good. ❤️
