Dear friends, family, and community,

Earlier this week, our father, Jeff Huffmon, suffered a grand mal seizure while out on his morning walk. He lost consciousness and was found by a kind stranger who called 911. He was rushed to the hospital, where scans revealed multiple masses in his brain. He underwent emergency brain surgery and is currently in the ICU recovering.

We are now awaiting full pathology results and scans to determine the next steps, which may include radiation, chemotherapy, and extensive rehabilitation.

This health crisis has not only shaken our family emotionally, but it has also brought an overwhelming financial burden. While we are still learning what insurance will cover, many expenses will fall to our family.

We’ve set a fundraising goal of $75,000 to help cover both known and anticipated expenses that insurance will not fully cover. Every dollar raised will go directly toward Jeff’s medical costs, therapy, and caregiving support, including my mom being able to help him as we walk this journey together.
