Stand with Jeff Goodman to Help Him Overcome His Struggles
Donation protected
Dear Friends and Supporters of Jeff Goodman,
I am reaching out to you on behalf of my friend Jeff Goodman, who is facing one of the most challenging times of his life.
As many of you know, Jeff lost his beloved husband, Hank, in November 2023 and the loss has left Jeff devastated both emotionally and financially. This emotional and financial stress has also become physical by worsening debilitating cluster headaches that usually occur multiple times a day, but are daily at a minimum, and Jeff is unable to do anything during these headache cycles.
Unfortunately, Jeff had quit his job several years ago so he could focus on taking care of Hank after Hank suffered from a massive stroke. Following Hank's death, the estate is now stuck in Probate, locking up Jeff's financial stability with it.
With the emotional and physical toll that Jeff is enduring, finding work has been quite difficult. As a result, while Jeff tries to cope with the loss of the love of his life, he is now faced with the daunting task of keeping a roof over his head and putting food on the table for him and his loyal dog, Lucy, while the Probate is resolved.
Jeff has multiple bills (utilities, medical, etc.) that are past due and the mounting debt has become too much to bear for Jeff. The biggest priorities right now are that his cell phone has been cut off and his home internet will soon be cut off. He needs to be able to get some items out of a storage unit to be able to move the Probate along, but the storage unit is set to go to Auction in a couple of weeks. His car was repossessed a couple of months ago and his bicycle needs to be repaired, leaving him without any means of transportation. Without a phone, transportation, and internet (either by cell or home connection), Jeff is not able to make any progress with tackling the mounting debt.
Jeff also needs a handyman around the Austin area to assist with repairing damage done to the house when the electrical line was pulled away from the house, leaving a hole in the house and allowing rain into the exterior wall. The fence was also damaged from that storm and needs repair.
This is why I'm reaching out to you today. Jeff and Lucy need our support now more than ever. No one should have to face the loss of their spouse alone, and by coming together as a community, we can make a difference in Jeff's life. Your generous contributions will help alleviate the financial and emotional, and hopefully the physical, strain he's experiencing, allowing him to focus on healing and rebuilding his life.
Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a meaningful impact. It will provide Jeff with the lifeline he desperately needs right now. Together, we can remind him that he's not alone - that he has a network of friends, family, and compassionate strangers who care deeply about his well-being.
Please consider donating to Jeff's GoFundMe campaign and sharing it with your networks. Let's rally around Jeff and show him that love and support can help him weather this dark storm.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and compassion.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Rhonda
