For the past two years, the father of my three children, Jeff Dean Sr, has faced ongoing health struggles, with countless hospital stays and uncertainty about his future. Over a year ago, we were promised a transplant, but the opportunity was taken away when John Hopkins backed out. By the grace of God, they have now changed their minds and agreed to perform the operation, giving us renewed hope.


Jeff's platelet counts are under 10,000, which makes his situation even more urgent and risky. My daughter is a perfect match for the transplant, which is a blessing, but the journey ahead is still filled with challenges. The hospital requires us to stay nearby for several weeks, so we must secure temporary housing and cover transportation costs to and from the hospital. On top of that, the medical expenses are overwhelming, and we simply cannot manage them all on our own.
