Hi, my name is Jeff. I’m writing this because I’ve hit a rough patch and could really use a little help getting back to where I need to be. For a while now, my main focus has been taking care of my father. We’re currently living in a motel, which is a daily challenge, but being there for him is what matters most to me.

About two weeks ago, I got hit with a serious illness myself. Being the sole caregiver while being sick has been incredibly draining, both physically and financially. When you’re living week-to-week in a motel, getting sick doesn't just mean staying in bed—it means the risk of losing our roof and falling behind on the essentials we need to keep going. I’m starting this GoFundMe to help us stay stable while I finish recovering. The funds will go directly toward: our weekly room stay at the motel, food and basic supplies for me and my dad, and medication and health needs so I can get back to full strength.

I’ve always tried to handle things on my own, but right now, I’m asking for a hand up so I can continue to be the caregiver my dad needs.
