Help Jeff Carroll and Family Through This Tough Time

This Go Fund me fundraiser has been created to assist with expenses after Jeff Carroll, a husband and father, was diagnosed with Stage 4 liver cancer by his sister-in laws and other family . This recent diagnosis has left everyone in shock and disbelief. All we want to do is support Jeff, Debra, Rhys and Nikita as they navigate this fierce illness. Jeff has been a staple to the Delta farm communities for over 40 years. Jeff started his career at Massey Ferguson at age 18 and then moved to Wade’s John Deere where he worked for 39 years. Jeff was taken on by Bern Prewitt , Jr. who has proven to be a great blessing to Jeff’s family. Bern understood and has shown great respect for Jeff’s vast knowledge and experience. Jeff has been treated with only kindness and respect since stepping foot on Bern’s place. This change in path allowed Jeff to keep working and doing what he loved. Jeff has also enjoyed helping others over the years by appearing as a 501st Stormtrooper to raise money for the Make-a- Wish foundation and Relay for Life for the American Cancer Society. Jeff has tried, but has been unable to work effectively for many months without any understanding of why he was so sick. Needless to say, the expenses have grown every day. Beginning several weeks ago, Jeff had a rapid decline in health and began to have unrelenting pain for unknown reasons. Admitted to Bolivar County Medical Center last week lead to the answers and his cancer diagnosis. This has been devastating for him and his family. The advanced nature of his diagnosis and with much thought and consideration, Jeff has decided he will have no further treatment and will continue with comfort measures only. The funds raised will allow for support of Jeff and his family and to cover extra expenses related to his illness. The medications to control his pain and to prevent further wasting and suffering are already proving very expensive. We want his spirit at peace with no worries about money. We ask anyone who has been touched by Jeff in their life, their business or their farm to consider helping him now. Anyone who has enjoyed his sense of humor and humble outlook on life think about him as he faces this difficult journey to peace with no more pain and no more illness. We covet all your prayers.
