Help Jeff Cardinal Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Donation protected
I have no words for what my father and I are going through and would never ask for help if we did not truly need it.

Jeff Cardinal, 53, entered our lives over 15 years ago. He started as an employee who became a friend and became part of our family. All the year's Jeff worked with Mark; he showed up every day. He worked sick after knee surgery, after a personal loss, and even worked side jobs at night and on weekends. He took great pride in being such a hard worker all his life.

This summer, Jeff started to slow down. He wasn't taking those side jobs, and he wasn't able to work late. By October, Jeff began to call in sick. His back hurt, he had a bad cough, and he was weak. We attributed it to his pneumonia and later covid diagnosis. He began to fall behind financially, but we were hopeful he would start to feel better soon and catch back up.

Unfortunately, the catch-up never came. The pain, the cough, and the weakness only grew worse. After months of suffering and going through test after test, the harsh reality hit hard. Stage 4 lung cancer that spread throughout his body - his liver, pancreas, rib bone, breast bone, hip bone, etc... The shock, sadness, and denial hit hard, but what hit him the hardest was his fear of losing his income and home and burdening his mother and daughter with his bills. He is not prepared for something like this, but we have to ask ourselves, who is?

Jeff needs your help. Social security will take over five months. Some of the medical expenses are not covered, and the everyday necessities of life like food, mortgage, utilities, and gas money to get to and from all of the appointments are getting tighter and tighter.

Jeff has always been a hard worker and a proud man. It took some coaxing to get him to allow us to post this fundraiser. Those of you who know him know he is an extraordinary human being who is always there for others. He is cheerful, loving, and strong. We humbly ask that you consider making a donation to help Jeff and his family focus on what is most important, which is fighting against this awful disease and keeping him positive and comfortable while going through treatment.

For anyone wishing to make a donation via check please message me via facebook to coordinate pick up. Checks can be made out to his daughter, Brittany Cardinal, who will be managing the bank account and setting up automatic payments of all bills to give Jeff one less thing to worry about.

With love,
Pam and Mark Wilk
