Hi my name's Karen and I'm trying to raise some money to help get my dad back on his feet.

My family currently consists of me, my mother, and my father. My dad is the only source of income in our family because my mother is in no condition to work due to her health conditions, and my brother is unfortunately not with us anymore as he passed away back in December 2019.

My dad's truck is almost 13 years old and it's been beginning to break down for awhile, but it has been more frequent and critical the past couple of weeks. He's been constantly sending his truck to the mechanic to get it repaired, but the costs are more than what we can afford. We've been spending all of our earnings on repairing his truck only for it to break down days later. We're left with nothing and there's no other way for us to make money at the moment. I was trying to pursue a career in cosmetology but with the given circumstances, I'll be putting it on hold as I look for a full-time job to help support my family as much as I can.

My dad is the strongest and most hardworking person I know. He prioritizes his family above all, leaving for work at 6AM, working 13 hours a day to provide for me and my mom. My dad has never, NOT EVEN ONCE, asked us for anything in his life especially when it came to financial needs. He always felt the need to take care of the financial struggles on his own and felt responsible for our family.

My family and I are already behind on rent and struggling financially due to Covid. My parents have already reached out to some family members for some help but I want to do everything in my power to help contribute as well.

I'm not the type of person to reach out and ask for help from others, but this was my last resort.
