Hi friends and family!
Our dear brother Jeff has been battling long-haul Covid since mid-January 2022, with symptoms including fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness, vestibular balance issues, elevated blood pressure, numbness in hands and feet, joint pain and TMJ, headaches, brain fog and more.
His symptoms continued to worsen, ultimately requiring him to take medical leave from work in late April due to debilitating weakness in his hands and arms preventing him from being able to type (a key function of his job).
Since then, Jeff has slowly been recovering (thankfully), but his absence management company suddenly stopped paying his disability paychecks in late May. In addition, Jeff is the sole financial provider for his family, so his prolonged disability without benefits has severely affected the family's financial resources.
As many of you know, Jeff and his wife lost their oldest daughter to cancer over 3 years ago, and Jeff’s mom is now struggling with Glioblastoma. It has understandably been a very challenging time for the Kuzmich family overall. Any support you may be able to give at this time would be most sincerely appreciated.
Very little is understood about long Covid, as it is such a new condition. What is known, however, is that rest is critical to recovery. Jeff recently visited the COVID recovery clinic. Doctors at the clinic agree with Jeff’s doctors, all of whom are still concerned about potentially serious conditions for which they are still testing (i.e., lupus and mast cell activation syndrome). Your contributions will help Jeff continue to rest and recover, while enabling his family to contiune to pay for their house, car, utility expenses, etc. Jeff is hoping to return to work by August 31st.
Thank you for taking the time to read this. If you are unable to donate, a share could go a long way. Be blessed.
