I dare say that 2020 will forever be marked in memory by sadness, uncertainty, and grief for most of us. There are some that were affected more than others. For Jeff and Tina Hill, the past year will be marred by unimaginable health and financial troubles.
Jeff took ill in the summer and was hospitalized. Tina kept us updated via Facebook. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Tina was unable to visit, only to be called in the middle of the night to say goodbye. Prayers, well wishes, tenacity, and medical angels ruled the day and today Jeff is at home recovering. Nothing short of a miracle. I don’t doubt that their love for each other was fortified, but financial worry looms.
This Go-Fund-Me was set up by a new friend, Rob. Rob was able to offer his experience from an emotional and physical lens to both Jeff and Tina. Having lived this nightmare, Rob became concerned about their financial situation around Christmas. I am honored and humbled to have been asked to write this opening for the fund. Jeff and Tina would never ask for themselves.
