The reason for this gofundme is to help with living expenses for Jeff and Peggy Drossart following two horrific life events.
Jeff worked as a cross-country truck driver. On April 2, 2025, Jeff was driving through Lake City, AR just outside of Jonesboro when an EF3 tornado touched down, picking his 18-wheeler up and slamming it to the ground, sliding it about 500 feet. His left arm was caught between the truck and asphalt during the ordeal. Additionally, he suffered 3 broken ribs, and various cuts and contusions. He was rushed to the trauma center. Unfortunately, doctors could not save his arm and it had to be amputated.
Just 3 days later, on April 5th, torrential rains flooded the Jonesboro area. Jeff and his wife Peggy's house was not spared. They had to evacuate and are now displaced until they receive help from FEMA. They had been staying in hotel, until a friend loaned them a camper as temporary housing.
They need help with food, monthly expenses such as paying utilities, the mortgage on their flooded home, car payments, etc.
