Help Jeff and Kara Mueller Oden medical emergency

Hi. My name is Jeff Walker. I'm starting this fundraiser on behalf of my friends Kara Mueller Oden and her husband Jeff Oden. Kara is critically ill, with complications from pancreatitis that have been life-threatening and could be debilitating requiring hospitalization and/or nursing home care for months.

 

Jeff and Kara are both in the healthcare field, Kara is a nurse, and Jeff is an addictions counselor. They both are caring sweet individuals that have helped many people in times of desperate need, now that kindness and caring needs to be reciprocated.

 

Their home is more than an hour away from the hospital where Kara is currently in intensive care and Jeff's work is about the same distance from either. Jeff and Kara's mother Marlene are trying to stay with Kara as best they can in shifts so they are using an extraordinary amount of gas and wear and tear on their vehicles which aren't the newest by any stretch and have given them problems along the way also adding to the stress and expense. Jeff is working as best he can. However as anyone who has tried to work and care for a sick loved one can tell you he is mentally and physically exhausted. He is missing time and trying to wean his paid time off but wants to be with his beloved wife as much as he can. Kara is obviously not working and disability only pays part of her salary. Everyone has bad breaks in life and this one for them has been especially bad physically, mentally and financially.

 

Unfortunately there's little we can do for Kara's health except to offer prayers and good thoughts for the doctors and nurses caring of her, and of course for Kara, Jeff, Marlene, Kara's sons Sidney and Ethan, and everyone who loves them.

 

You can however hopefully help them out financially. Please give what you can it will be greatly and sincerely appreciated.

 

These are good people. They don't deserve to be in fear of losing everything they've worked for because of an illness.
