Help Jeevan Protect Wild Cats and Their Habitats
Imagine a world where wildcats vanish silently. These incredible predators are losing ground every day due to poaching, habitat loss, human-wildlife conflict, and hunting. Wildcats are symbols of wild places—and losing them means losing part of our planet’s soul. Many species are so elusive that we barely understand them, and without solid data, conservation efforts often fail. I want to change that, and I need your help.

Hi, I’m Jeevan Vridhan. For over 25 years, I’ve been a wildlife photographer and conservationist, specializing in camera-trapping techniques to document rare and elusive species. My mission is simple: capture the hidden lives of wildcats and share that knowledge with researchers, conservation organizations, and the public.
Right now, I’m working on projects in India, Costa Rica, Brazil, and the USA, and I plan to expand globally. These studies help us understand population trends, habitat use, and the delicate balance of coexistence between humans and wildlife. Without this information, these species could disappear before we even know how to protect them.

Why This Matters
Wildcats are under pressure like never before. In the United States, species like mountain lions face year-round hunting in some regions. Across the world, wildcats are threatened by poaching, habitat loss, and human-wildlife conflict. These pressures are pushing many species toward decline, and without solid data, conservation efforts often fall short. If we don’t act now, future generations may never see these magnificent animals in the wild. Your support can help change that.

How This Helps Communities and Wildlife
My research doesn’t just document wildcats—it provides actionable insights. By identifying travel corridors and habitat use patterns, we help conservationists and local authorities design safer landscapes where people and wildlife can coexist. Understanding where big cats move reduces conflict, prevents livestock loss, and saves lives—both human and animal. These findings guide the creation of wildlife corridors, inform policy, and support education programs that protect predators while respecting community needs.

Giving Back to Local Communities
Conservation is not just about wildlife—it’s about people too. In every region I work, I involve local communities in my fieldwork, providing paid opportunities that support their livelihoods. Beyond employment, I donate essential items such as rain jackets, shoes, winter coats, water bottles, and flashlights to help families meet basic needs.
In southern India, where I study big cats, I’ve spent years supplying drinking water during the harsh summer fire season to forest department staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to prevent forest fires. These efforts build trust, strengthen community resilience, and create a shared commitment to protecting wild places.

My Goal and Why It’s Urgent
I aim to raise funds by the end of this year to expand research in critical habitats before the dry season, when wildlife movements peak and data collection is most effective. Acting now means we can gather vital information to protect wildcats and their ecosystems before these areas face further human encroachment and conflict.

What Your Donation Supports
Every dollar goes directly toward:
$200 buys one trail camera.
$150 funds a week of fieldwork in remote habitats.
$1,000 covers a DSLR camera trap setup for high-quality research images.
Field logistics (travel, scouting, permits)
Data collection and documentation (images, videos, ecological observations)
Community support initiatives (essential supplies for local families and fire-season water distribution)

Why Me?
I’ve spent over 25 years in the field as a wildlife photographer and the last five years specializing in DSLR camera traps. My work has contributed to multiple conservation projects, and I’ve captured rare moments that help scientists and organizations better understand these species. This isn’t just a project for me—it’s a lifelong mission to ensure wildcats survive and thrive. Every step I take in this journey is driven by passion, experience, and a commitment to making a real difference.
