- J

This is Jed. A little over a year ago, Jed was among a litter of sick kittens I took in as fosters. Thanks to so many incredible people, we were able to get the kittens healthy and three of the foster cats adopted! The remaining three - Jed, Mo, and their mom - have since become part of our cat family, and it’s been incredible to see how much they and my cats LOVE each other!
Watching Jed grow up the past year has been a gift. He’s the bleppiest cat I’ve ever seen, he’s so chatty and silly and sweet. He has so much personality… which is why when I recently noticed him hiding away and not being quite himself, I knew something was very wrong. I took him to the vet asap, and was shocked to find out he was severely anemic. I took him to the ER, and he has undergone a blood transfusion, multiple tests, and is currently staying at the hospital being monitored as we wait to know more about his condition.
I was given an estimate of $6000-$8000 for his ER care, and yesterday cost $3000 alone, but if he was to have any shot at surviving, there was no other option. Jed is such a precious, eccentric, beautiful soul, and he deserves every chance at life.
There’s still so much we don’t know about his condition(s) and his actual diagnosis, but I’ve been warned that Jed’s prognosis may not be good.
Please consider donating and/or sharing to help him have his best chance at overcoming the odds and living his fullest, happiest life. And please know that I am so deeply grateful for you.
