Dear friends and supporters,
It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Jeb's passing. Surrounded by his loving family, he left us peacefully, free from the pain that his battle with cancer brought. We find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace, embraced by eternal love and light.
Your incredible support, prayers, and love have meant the world to us during this journey. We are eternally grateful for the strength you've given us.
As we take this time to grieve and honor Jeb's beautiful spirit as a father, husband, brother, son & friend, we will be planning a celebration of his life. We will share details soon for those who wish to join us in commemorating his life and legacy.
Thank you for your understanding, compassion, and continued support.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Clemons Family
The family of Jeb Clemons have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support, prayers, and inquiries from our community. Many of you were unaware of Jeb's situation, as he chose to keep it private until recently.
Now, as things have become critical, we feel it's important to share his journey and ask for your help.
Jeb's Journey
In January/February 2022, Jeb began experiencing severe pain in his ribs and clavicle. After numerous ER visits, doctor appointments, and a long wait for biopsy results, he was diagnosed with Stage 4 renal cell (kidney) cancer that had already spread to his bones. The diagnosis was devastating, but Jeb faced it with incredible strength and resilience.
He immediately started an aggressive treatment plan that included chemotherapy, immunotherapy, radiation, and infusions to strengthen his bones. For four months, Jeb was too weak to work, but eventually, he regained enough strength to return to his job at Christian Brothers Automotive, where his employer showed immense support and understanding.
For 18 months, Jeb's cancer remained relatively stable.
However, recent scans have shown progression, despite changes in his medication. In mid-May, Jeb's health took a severe downturn. He was hospitalized for a week and is now home, where his loving wife Stacy is his primary caregiver while managing her job from home.
The Current Situation
Despite our best efforts and hopes, the medical review team at MD Anderson has determined that Jeb is too sick to undergo a trial or any further treatment. Jeb will continue to rest at home, surrounded by his family, and we are committed to making the most of the time we have left with him.
Jeb has always been someone who helped others without hesitation and never asked for anything in return. Now, he and his family need our support more than ever.
How You Can Help
We are reaching out to our community to ask for your support in this incredibly challenging time.
First and foremost, we ask for continued prayers.
Pray specifically for Jeb's comfort and peace, for strength and courage for Stacy, who is Jeb's unwavering caregiver. Pray for time together to create more memories, and for the entire family as they navigate this difficult journey.
Secondly, the job loss of Jeb along with the undetermined medical and living expenses are mounting.
We ask that if it is placed on your heart to contribute, please know that your love and gift will go directly towards:
- Medical Expenses: Covering treatments, medications, and hospital visits.
- Living Expenses: Supporting Jeb, Stacy and their wonderful children Lance, Luke and Alexis, as she cares for Jeb full-time while working from home.
- End-of-Life Care: Ensuring Jeb's comfort and dignity in his final days.
We are so grateful for the generosity of those who can offer prayer and support.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time. Together, we can make a difference for Jeb and his family.
