Hi, my name is Kristian, and I am Jeannine's spouse.

In December 2022, Jeannine became severely ill with Pneumonia. We believed that antibiotic treatment and a couple months of rest would lead to recovery. After many months, her health did not improve, and we sought support out-of-Province from specialists. Jeannine was diagnosed with Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Dysautonomia, and Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder. Jeannine has been unable to work since December 2022. At the height of this, she was largely bed bound with limited mobility, and required the use of mobility aids and body braces to move and function.

We are working on a road to recovery through private health care, since we are receiving very little support from the public system. While we have seen improvement in Jeannine's conditions, these treatments have exhausted our savings, and more treatments and travel are required for her continued progress towards better health.
