Help Jeannie Martin Heal After Dog Pack Attack
Donation protected
Greetings! This fundraiser is for a dear friend, Jeannie Martin, who was brutally attacked by a pack of five, large, vicious dogs while mowing her conservation property, the Georgia Pines Institute, located in Brantley County, GA. Miraculously, she was able to survive the mauling; however, she did suffer 8-10 severe bite wounds and numerous other less severe bites. To date, she has had the ER visit, two surgeries, rabies immunoglobulin and vaccines and had to endure very painful daily wound care and bandage changes. She currently has several surgical drains in one leg and a wound vac on the other. It’s unknown how many more surgeries or skin grafts she will need before her wounds fully heal. The costs for care and recovery are quickly mounting and will far exceed what is available through her family’s personal insurance. It’s also become clear that they will not be able to recover medical costs from the dog’s owner, despite seeking support from state and local authorities. So I implore you to support this remarkable woman and her darling family during this season of need to help them continue to recover from the traumatic experience. Thank you for your support.
