Hi, my name is Jeannette. I recently found out this year I have invasive lobular breast cancer. You hear about it all the time, but you never think it can happen to you. You wake up one day from living a simple life; then in a split second, everything changes. The message in this pic reveals truth: "It's only a short trip, enjoy it." This journey hasn't been easy at all, especially when you start losing your hair. Your physical and mental mind just goes in so many different directions. And no one really understands, because unless you go through it, you won't. Sometimes you just want to give up. But then you find that reason to keep on fighting until the end. My faith, my love, and my relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ is what keeps me going. I just know when I'm weak, He is strong. He says He will never leave us nor forsake us. So I hold on to His promises. Therefore, I've left it in His hands and just hang on. These treatments, even with insurance, are very high. We have prayed about this and feel a sense of calm. Therefore, we feel peace with reaching out to the public and ask for help. There are several stages you have to go through, and it all adds up. Any amount to us is helpful, and whatever God lays in your heart, we will be eternally grateful. My oncologist is Dr. Amid Choski. He has a few locations, with the main office in The Woodlands. Four months prior to finding out I had cancer, he came into CHN Clinic and on Wednesdays does chemo treatments as well as a few other things. He is a very intelligent, smart, not to mention a loving, caring doctor. The moment I met him, I knew I could trust him in his medical field. He has a wonderful, awesome team, and they have been such a blessing to me. They are a strong, caring, and reliable team. They have been my family since February 2024. To all the women out there, I say please get your yearly mammogram. Don't just sit back thinking it's nothing. The more you wait, the bigger it gets. It's extremely vital. It's your life.
