Help Jeanne Overcome Challenges with Kindness

Hi, my name is Cliff Meyer and I'm raising emergency funds for Jeanne Keyser. Jeanne Keyser was a long-time member of First Assembly in Ft. Myers. She was an active member of the choir ministry for many years. She is now 70 years old, single, and depends on her meager Social Security benefits and earnings as a Home Care Provider. On Sept. 28, 2022, Hurricane Ian devastated SW Florida and washed away Jeanne’s home. She lost everything. Shortly after the storm, her car had to be replaced. The storm left her homeless and financially ruined as her insurance company would not pay anything to replace her home or contents. Her two income streams did not provide enough to live in the Ft. Myers, FL area, so Jeanne relocated to Cleveland, TN earlier this year where the cost of living is much lower.
Background leading to this need: Several months after the storm, FEMA finally provided some rental assistance for an apartment in Ft. Myers. Friends helped her get her household set up, and things were going well until Jeanne suffered a medical setback which impacted her income, and she fell behind on her rent. After FEMA’s assistance ended, her rent increased by about 60%, and Jeanne fell further behind financially, unable to afford the high rent and subsequently lost her Ft. Myers apartment.
Things were going well in Tennessee until she recently suffered a complete failure of her knee and is currently unable to work. She is waiting for a knee replacement. It will require a couple of months of rehab before she can return to work.
Jeanne’s friends have been helping her financially, but Jeanne desperately needs some financial assistance to get back on her feet. I have set up an account so many former FA choir members and friends can pitch in and help Jeanne. Please consider generously helping this precious lady.
