Hi my name is David Projimo, I'm creating this fund raising to help my 2nd cousin to fight breast cancer.
Here is Jeanne’s story
2019
Jeanne noticed a bump on her right breast after an operation for a boil on another part of her body. It was during this time that she was also diagnosed of diabetes. She only focused on maintaining her blood sugar levels and didn’t pay much attention to her breast even though the bump grew in size since she thought it was also just a boil.
Eventually, she noticed the bump didn’t seem normal and was growing in size and started to bear more weight. It also started to hurt when touched. On December 2019, she consulted a doctor in Pasay City General Hospital regarding her condition, after which she was required to undergo mammography and core biopsy (which was expensive, and was delayed so she can raise funds). When she was ready to undergo these procedures, she was turned down by the hospital due to restrictions imposed because of COVID-19. Because of this, she had to raise more funds to have the test done in a different establishment.
2020
She had the core biopsy done in a private hospital near Pasay Gen. Her doctor said that it didn’t seem cancerous since the sample they got was mainly composed of liquid and only small pieces of tumors were retrieved. After this, she was put on antibiotics to try and melt the entire mass (doctor believed that it was mostly pus).
A hole was pierced through the breast flesh in order to do the core biopsy. Jeanne said that the wound from that procedure didn’t entirely heal and started to leak. She was put on hot compress, which created a blister and burst, creating a large wound on her right breast. She described that the pain was unbearable.
2021
On July 14, 2021, she had an excision biopsy, results showing that she had Invasive Ductal Carcinoma stage 3B (T4bN0M0) with orthopedic disability. Initial diagnosis from the excision biopsy is that she has stage 3B breast cancer, with tumor that has grown into the chest wall causing ulcer.
She recently underwent immunohistochemistry tests to see if she is receptive to hormonal therapy, but results are negative, meaning that there are limited treatments options for Jeanne’s condition. She is scheduled to undergo CT scan on Friday (July 30, 2021) to confirm whether the cancer has spread to other parts of her body.
