Stand with Jeanna in Her Fight Against Stage 4 Breast Cancer
Donation protected
We are a group of Jeanna's friends who just cannot believe we are starting a GoFundMe page to help her battle cancer for the 3rd time! Luckily on December 21st, Jeanna got a severe case of pneumonia that put her in the hospital for a week over Christmas. We say luckily because subsequent CT scans showed a lymph node that got bigger over each scan. On July 2nd she had a biopsy on that lymph node and on July 7th, she was diagnosed with Stage 4, Grade 3 Metastatic Invasive Lobular Carcinoma that has metastasized into her bones. She may not have found it until much later if she had never gotten pneumonia - God is good!
"The only love you keep is the love you give away."
If you know Jeanna, then you know she lives by that quote. She is a big giver, always shows up for her friends and family in both big and small ways and always ready to share a hug, laugh and a smile. We wanted to start this page because she never asks for anything and to ask for help in such a public way would have been difficult for her. So we’re reaching out to everyone on her behalf, for your help, because traditional treatments are not the best solution for her survival and it is her turn to be the receiver of goodwill.
Jeanna has battled cancer twice before - she had Hodgkin’s Lymphoma at just 29 years old and took 5 months of heavy chemotherapy consisting of 6 different drugs followed by 7 weeks of daily mantle radiation from her chin to her waist - front and back. This treatment is what makes her current battle so tricky. She has already had the max load of radiation her torso can take. And the large load of chemo left her with a compromised immune system.
The second time she was diagnosed with breast cancer just after moving back to Georgia. She had a double mastectomy but complications left her with an open wound that she had to pack with gauze daily and took 6 months to heal. During all this, Jeanna kept her sense of humor and endless optimism. It’s absolutely inspiring, and anyone who knows her will tell you that it’s extremely infectious. So here we are, pumped full of her optimism, asking you to get in her corner with us to fight.
Jeanna’s previous chemotherapy and radiation treatment combined with this current aggressive cancer means WE need to be aggressive by helping her quickly assemble a medical A-team to create a uniquely tailored treatment plan combining traditional medicine and alternative treatments. Treatments that include low-dose chemotherapy, hyperbaric chamber sessions, RGCC testing, SOT IV therapies, repurposed cancer drugs, and acupuncture for controlling nausea. The costs associated with these treatments will run between $4000-$7000 a week.
Jeanna has appointments scheduled at City of Hope in Georgia, MD Anderson in Texas, and soon the Moffitt Cancer Center in Florida. Therefore, she will encounter additional travel, lodging and food costs to ensure she has the best oncologists in the country working to save her life.
So we’re asking for your help to give Jeanna the best possible chance at the longest life possible. Our goal here is to eliminate the financial stress so that Jeanna can stay focused on kicking cancer’s butt! A donation of any size will significantly help relieve the financial burden of healing. If you can’t donate, please please please share this page with your friends, family and community to help us reach as many people as possible.
Thank you to all of you who are already supporting Jeanna with your prayers, loving notes and positive vibes. We know she is SO appreciative and grateful because we hear her expressing this to you daily. We know that God is the Great Healer, prayer is powerful and God has a plan.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for helping us give Jeanna what she’s always given the world: Unwavering hope, love and support when it’s needed most. Let’s come together and give her the best fighting chance for complete healing and recovery.
