Help Jeanna Fight Cancer & the Fight of Her Life

Hi, my name is Renata, and I'm fundraising for Jeanna Arellano.

Dearest family, friends, breast cancer survivors, and community members,

In 2014 my dear friend Jeanna Arellano was diagnosed with hormonal breast cancer. In 2016 her cancer metastasized, leaving her with breast cancer in her bones. Jeanna has completed different types of chemo to try and fight her cancer as it continues to mutate throughout her body. Jeanna found out that her breast cancer had moved to her liver six months ago. Her oncologist gave her the terrible news that she has two years left to live. After her fear and devastation subsided, she decided to try homeopathic medicine to help extend her life. These treatments cost around $1,300 a week.

For those who don’t know Jeanna, she is a beautiful person on the inside and out! She is the most loving, caring, and dedicated mother and grandmother. Jeanna is not just our hairstylist that creates miracles with our hair…she is our personal therapist. She knows our families, and she shares in our triumphs and our tragedies. Every client believes that their bond with Jeanna is more special than the others because that is how she makes each of us feel. She has a heart of gold and a wonderful attitude. We all love Jeanna like family! Jeanna isn’t done being an earth angel; her family and friends need her. Jeanna has so much to offer this world and so much to live for, and we want to help her achieve her goal of living.

As a self-employed single mother, Jeanna does not have company paid insurance. She started the homeopathic treatment to help fight her aggressive cancer and extend her life. These new treatments will cost her around $5,000 a month. To help afford these treatments she sold her furniture and gave up her apartment to move in with her twin sister to help ends meet. The new treatments require that Jeanna stop working two weekends out of the month. As a hairstylist the weekends are her busiest time and this impacts her income. This is income she can’t afford to lose and won’t have to help pay for these treatments. When Jeanna started the new homeopathic treatments her tumor markers were at their highest of 779. Since the combined treatments of infusions, oxygen, photodynamic therapy, and traditional chemotherapy have started to make a real difference. Her tumor markers are down to 170 and the cancer is out of her liver.

As Jeanna and her family face this challenge, we wanted to start a GoFundMe to help Jeanna pay for the weekly treatments. We are looking to raise $80,000 to provide Jeanna with the funds to help her get through the first year of her treatments and other expenses associated with the treatments.
