Over Labor Day weekend, my godmother, Jean Marie, suffered a sudden heart attack. She had just finished cutting sunflowers and was getting into her car when it happened. Her doctors have advised her to remain out of work indefinitely. With only limited sick and vacation time, the financial strain from medical bills, prescriptions, and everyday expenses is beginning to pile up.
Jean Marie is the heart of her family. She is a devoted mother to three daughters and a proud grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren. To know Jean Marie is to know laughter, love, and light—when she walks into a room, everyone feels her presence. She’s always the first to worry about others when they are sick or struggling, never hesitating to step up and help.
Now, she is the one who needs support. Jean Marie lives alone and doesn’t like to burden anyone by asking for help, but it would mean the world if we could take some of this weight off her shoulders. She should be focusing on healing, not on the stress of bills or feeling pressured to return to work before she is ready.
Any donation, big or small, will make a difference in giving Jean Marie the time she needs to fully recover and be there for the family she loves so deeply. If you can’t donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping her in your prayers. Thank you for helping us support someone who has always been there for everyone else
