Over Labor Day weekend, my godmother, Jean Marie, suffered a sudden heart attack. She had just finished cutting sunflowers and was getting into her car when it happened. Her doctors have advised her to remain out of work indefinitely. With only limited sick and vacation time, the financial strain from medical bills, prescriptions, and everyday expenses is beginning to pile up.

Jean Marie is the heart of her family. She is a devoted mother to three daughters and a proud grandmother to five beautiful grandchildren.
