Jean Castillo Moreno, my cousin, has always been known as a hardworking man and a caring person. Recently, while heading home from grocery shopping—less than five minutes from his house—Jean was unexpectedly detained by ICE. This sudden event has left his family devastated, especially as his girlfriend is pregnant and due to give birth in May. Jean’s absence has created a huge emotional and financial strain on his loved ones, who are now facing this challenge alone.
