On October 22, Jean Colburn (age 35) was rushed to the ER with pneumonia-like symptoms and a painful testicular mass. He was diagnosed with Stage III testicular cancer and has since undergone surgery to remove the mass and affected lymph-nodes.

Jean is a husband to Akari, who is five months pregnant with baby Ellie, and a father to beautiful three-year-old Emma. This is an unexpected turn of events and Jean’s health is worsening.

The purpose of this crowdfunding is to secure funds for Jean’s medical and household expenses, as Jean is undergoing in-patient chemotherapy and cannot work, and Akari is not qualified to be employed before gaining her green card.

This situation is urgent as Jean will undergo four phases of chemotherapy through February. His survival depends on if the chemo works to eliminate any remaining cancer cells.
