Help Save My Sister’s Life: A Fight for a Liver Transplant!!

Please Help Jean Ann, our sister!!

My sister, Jean Sheaffer, has always been the kind of person who gives everything she has to others. She’s spent her life caring for her family, volunteering at her church, and generously offering her time and resources to anyone in need. Now, she needs our help — not for herself, but to save her life.

Jean is only 56 years old, but for over three years, she’s been fighting a relentless battle with non-alcoholic cirrhosis — a disease she never brought upon herself. Despite never drinking a day in her life, her liver has deteriorated severely. She’s lost over 100 pounds trying to combat this illness, enduring countless hospital visits, treatments, and setbacks, all while maintaining her unwavering spirit.

Throughout her life, Jean has been a pillar of strength and compassion. She’s the oldest of four siblings, and from a young age, she stepped into the role of protector and caregiver. Whether it was helping her family through tough times or dedicating herself full-time to her church community, she’s always been there for others. Her selflessness is unmatched — she puts others before herself, often sacrificing her own needs to ensure those around her are cared for.

Her giving nature extends beyond her family and church. Jean has always sought ways to help her community, donating her time, energy, and even money whenever she can. She’s the first to volunteer for charity events, the first to lend a helping hand, and the last to ask for help herself. If there’s a need, she tries to fulfill it — never expecting anything in return. She truly embodies the spirit of kindness and service.

Now, after trying every available medical treatment and alternative, her doctors have told us that a liver transplant is the only remaining option to save her life. Unfortunately, the costs associated with the transplant, post-operative care, and ongoing medications are overwhelming. Insurance only covers part of the expenses, and the financial burden is daunting for our family.

We are reaching out with hope and humility, asking for your support to help Jean get the transplant she desperately needs. The process is urgent; time is of the essence. Without a new liver, her prognosis is grim, and her condition continues to worsen. We believe in miracles, and we believe in the kindness of strangers who can help us give her a second chance at life.

Please consider making a donation to help cover her medical expenses. Your contribution, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. It’s not just about paying for a surgery — it’s about giving Jean the gift of life, a chance to continue her legacy of giving and caring for others.

If you know her, you know she’s the kind of person who would do anything for others — and now, she needs us to do something for her. We are immensely grateful for any support, prayers, and sharing this story to help us reach those who can make a difference.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for helping us save Jean’s life. Together, we can give her the hope and healing she deserves.

With gratitude,
Gary, Tammy and Cheryl
