Help J.D. Crnko Recover from Brain Surgery

On Thursday, June 18th, J.D. had a seizure and was taken by ambulance to Grand River Hospital. After running several tests, they determined he had a large, but unknown mass on his brain.
Early Friday morning he was taken by heli-ambulance to Hamilton General, and after receiving more thorough tests, (MRI, brain scans etc.) they believed he had a Frontal Lobe Lesion. But, due to continued brain bleeding, data from the MRI imaging was inconclusive.
Eventually, by Saturday it was finally determined that he has a tumor in his brain.
J.D. has gone on to have several seizures while in the hospital over the Father's Day weekend, but his spirits are up and he is awaiting brain surgery this week in hopes that they may remove the entire tumor. At this point in time, doctors have chosen to attempt to fully remove the tumor, rather than performing an initial biopsy to determine if it’s cancerous.
During the 72 hours since his first seizure, J.D. has experienced cognitive, speech, and motor control impairment from the lesion and tumor. While a successful surgery would give hope for a full recovery, there will be weeks, possibly even months of rehabilitation.
We are optimistic about J.D.'s recovery and are blessed to live in a country where amazing medical services and help are available. We are also blessed by so many people who have put up their hand to say, “I want to help.”
This fundraiser was set up to help J.D. and Justine focus on his recovery, without worrying about the costs of care for Greyson, as well as other household services, extra medical expenses, and lost income.
