Hello everyone,

My name is Hyunwoo Lee and I am a close friend of John Thomas Carnes. Most of his friends know him by "JC". With a heavy heart, I am writing to inform you about my friend who suffered from a massive stroke last week. He was admitted to St. Francis hospital in Federal Way, WA, and he is currently in a coma. It's been about a week and sadly, he is still unconscious. The only information I know is that the MRI revealed severe brain damage and it isn't looking good. Doctors said there is a high chance of vision loss and movement if he does wake up.

This has been a shock for his entire family and friends. I've known JC for about 20 years and it breaks my heart to see him like this. Anyone who knows JC will tell you that he is a caring and hard-working individual. He is always the first to lend a helping hand, share the funniest joke that will make you laugh. Just last year, he got married to the love of his life, Boreumi, and with just his mom and no siblings, I can't imagine what the family is going through. At the age of 41, who would've thought this could happen?
