In 2014, after the heartbreaking loss of our little Chihuahua, Billy, I found myself searching for a new companion to help fill the void. I turned to Craigslist, hoping to find a blue pit bull, and fate led me to a litter of puppies just around the corner from my home. The moment I saw Jazz among her siblings, I knew she was the one. Since that day, Jazz has become an irreplaceable part of our family. She’s full of energy and joy, always ready to play ball for hours or take a dip in the pool—her favorite place to be. In fact, I’m convinced she thinks the pool belongs to her! Her playful spirit and loving nature have brought so much happiness into our lives.

It is with a heavy heart that I share Jazz’s recent diagnosis. After noticing a sizeable bump on her rib cage, we took her to the vet, and a biopsy revealed she has hemangiosarcoma, a highly aggressive form of cancer. The news has been devastating, and we know the road ahead will be challenging. Jazz needs immediate care, including surgery, medication, and possibly chemotherapy, to give her the best chance at fighting this disease. The costs for her treatment are overwhelming, but I am determined to do everything I can for her.
