This morning at 12:30am Jazmine was asleep with her husband and two kids as she was suddenly awakened by the sound of commotion outside her apartment. The sound was coming from neighbors yelling and rocks being thrown at her window in an effort to wake them up. She jolted awake, her heart pounding from the eminent chaos outside. Jazmine stumbled through the haze of smoked and quickly realized her apartment was being engulfed in flames. Her husband Lamar open the front door and flames quickly tried to rush in. Ducking below smoke, Jazmine and Lamar reached for the toddlers and headed for the balcony. By the grace of god their neighbors were waiting outside for them. One by one they were caught by the good samaritans below as they escaped from the balcony. All their memories in this home and belongings have now turned to ash. I am asking for donations at this time to cover the cost of their lost belongings and their hotel stays and they try to find a stable solution.
