Help Jazmine Heal: Support Her Recovery

Hello, my name is Stacey Smith, mother to Jazmine Smith. Let me tell you a little about Jazmine. Jazz is a very goal-oriented person who has amazing plans and goals for her future and has worked hard to make them a reality. Jazz, as we call her, works a full-time job putting herself through school to be a nurse and wants to help others. She recently set herself up with an apartment and a new car and continues to work on her goals and schooling while working a full-time job and many overtime hours.
On the night of December 4th, all of this changed. On the way home from work, Jazz stopped at a gas station to gas up her car. When pulling out of the gas station on a very dark road with absolutely no street lights, Jazz looked both ways and saw traffic was clear. Unfortunately, a dark blue, almost black car was traveling down that same road at 60 to 70 mph without their headlights on, making it impossible for Jazz to see the car. As soon as she had pulled out, she was struck by the car in her driver's side door. Jazz was rushed to UK hospital and admitted for 8 days with severe injuries. Jazz's collarbone was broken into three pieces, her spine was fractured all the way through the C2 vertebrae, and a damaged artery among many bruises and cuts throughout her body. They were able to do surgery piecing back together her collarbone, but unfortunately, they decided against surgery on her fractured spine because the fracture is so close to her spinal cord and a main artery. Jazz's fractured spine will have to heal naturally while being in a neck brace and on bed rest for 12 weeks. Of course, this also puts her out of work for the whole 12 weeks.
I am willing to help her in any way I can as well as financially, but I too have been out of work caring for her and had to take an FMLA leave for her upcoming doctor appointments and struggles through the healing process with little help. Unfortunately, life doesn't wait for you to heal, and Jazz has already lost so much and almost her life to this car accident, and I don't want to see her lose anymore. She has rent, bills, schooling, and medicines she has to pay for. I know it is the holidays and I know everyone is struggling, especially with the cost of living nowadays, so if you are able to donate anything, even if it is $1, we are truly grateful. If you are not able to donate, believe me when I say we completely understand and would be grateful if you were to say a prayer.
