My daughter Jaynie is eager to join her high school’s Crew (rowing) team at Winter Park High School. As her mom and primary support, I’ve always encouraged her to pursue activities that help her grow, build confidence, and stay engaged in school. Crew is something she’s genuinely excited and motivated about, and I’m proud of her determination to be part of a team that values discipline, teamwork, and perseverance.

However, the costs associated with joining the Crew team, such as team fees, equipment, and upcoming travel expenses, are more than I can manage on my own as a single parent. I work super hard to provide for Jaynie, but these additional expenses make it difficult for her to participate in this incredible opportunity. Crew isn’t just about athletics for Jaynie; it’s about building character, discipline, and opening doors to future opportunities. Many graduates from this team have gone on to attend amazing colleges, and this experience could be a meaningful stepping stone for Jaynie as she works toward her own goals.
