Jayne is my dear friend, and she’s facing an incredibly difficult situation. Earlier this year, Jayne took over guardianship of two children, welcoming them into her home and providing them with a safe place to start fresh. Sadly, a tree recently fell directly into her room, leaving their new home unlivable. She was hit with the insulation and ceiling debris but thankfully the tress did not fall on her. Overnight, Jayne and the children lost the safety and comfort they had just begun to build together, and now they’re struggling to find a place to stay. Jayne works from home, so this disaster is also affecting her ability to earn an income. With the children out of school for the holiday break, they’re spending most of their time at home, which makes this situation even more challenging for everyone involved.

Right now, Jayne isn’t receiving any assistance and is waiting for her insurance company to review her case. The funds raised here will go directly toward securing temporary housing for Jayne and her family, helping them stay safe and together while they navigate this uncertain time.
