Hi, my name is Jaylyn.

I’m 18 years old and currently a Freshman in college at NMSU working hard to build a better future for myself. I created this GoFundMe because I’m facing some unexpected financial challenges that I can’t handle on my own to continue school for next semester and maybe the year following. When I started my first year of college, my family was helping support me with tuition and living expenses. But recently, my dad, who was the main provider in our household, lost his job unexpectedly. Because of that, my family can no longer help me, and I suddenly found myself responsible for all my college and living costs. I don’t have a job right now, and I’m doing my best to find one, but the cost of everything is already piling up. This situation hit me really fast, and honestly, I’m still trying to figure everything out. I’m trying to stay in school, stay focused, and stay hopeful, but I can’t do it alone right now. Any amount of support, even just sharing this page, would mean so much to me. It would help me stay enrolled, afford basic living expenses, and keep working toward my goals. It is my dream to stay here and keep doing this. I love what I have been doing here at college and the experiences it has opened me up to. I just want to keep going, and not just give it up.
