Hi. My name is Jaylah Thompson, and I am 11 years old. I’m currently in the sixth grade, and I am an active member in my church’s children’s ministry. I am the oldest of four children, and I often help my parents with my younger siblings.
I am so excited for this opportunity to go to Honduras for the first time. Just recently, I learned that I am called to be in the mission field. I’ve always loved helping people, even while in school. I’ve had the opportunity to do the soup kitchen with my grandma in Gary, IN, and I really liked serving the people. At the daycare I attend, I love helping with the pre-k class, so I’m hoping to spend time with the children in Honduras too.
The best part of this opportunity is that I will get to travel on an airplane to another country for the first time with my dad. That makes me so happy.
We are scheduled to leave for Honduras July 7-14. We are looking to spend a lot of our time in Yoro!
If you are interested in donating toward my first trip to Honduras, I thank you. The first deposit is due this month, January. So please pray and consider sponsoring an opportunity of a lifetime.
