Help Jayla Take Flight
Donation protected
Hi, if you aren't familiar with me, my name is Jayla Harris. I'm currently a senior Animal Science major at Tuskegee University. Over the course of my college career I've had numerous opportunities to develop myself as a knowledgeable, compassionate, and conscious professional within the animal science industry. However, financial hardship has stunted my opportunities for growth outside of an academic setting. Previously, I've been accepted for competitive programs abroad, including an elephant rehabilitation program in Thailand. Today, I'm a candidate for an African American studies trip abroad in Paris, France set for Spring '24.
The trip consists of 8 days in Paris discovering the cultural impact of African American immigrants. The cost of the trip is $4,000 dollars, which goes towards my flights, accommodations, meals, and admission to three of Paris' most popular attractions. While I'm there I hope to gain invaluable knowledge about the world outside of the United States and form a personal connection with the culture my ancestors developed in a post-slavery world.
I am grateful to have been chosen as a participant for this study abroad program, and I hope to share my study abroad adventure with you all soon.
Thanks in advance for your donations. If you aren't able to contribute financially, please share my cause with those who may be able to.
-Jayla :)
