Medical Debt After Being Denied Victims Compensation
Donation protected
Hi there,
My name is Jayla and 3 1/2 years ago I woke up in the hospital after missing for almost two days. I didn't know who I was or where I was, and I couldn't feel or move my legs. I lost my job, friends, my apartment and left the hospital thousands of dollars into medical debt and overtime, that amount has only accumulated. I'm now in a wheelchair and had to rent a storge unit for all of my stuff when I lost my apartment. I lost my insurance right after my accident and had to open two credit cards to try to pay for all of my medical bills and I still haven't managed to do so.
I do work but with my debt I only make enough to get to and from work and pay for the outpatient appointments I still have to attend. Currently, I'm negative in my bank account and yesterday I learned that my next check is much lower than I thought, and after paying back the negative amount I will still be negative. I never received victims' compensation, and this is my last resort as financially things only continue to get worse and it's getting to the point where I'll be unable to afford to even get to work.
Please help if you can.
