Help Jay'dha Rackard Dance at Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive

Hi,

My name is Jay'dha Rackard and I am a 16-year-old high school student in my junior year. I am currently attending Boston Arts Academy for my favorite thing in the world, dance. I also study dance at Origination Cultural Arts Center. I have been dancing since I was 3 years old and have been lucky enough to be instructed by many talented instructors. Dance isn't just a part of my life; it's a part of who I am. I have never felt more free or more like myself than when I’m dancing. It's as if the rest of the world sort of falls away.

I have recently been given the opportunity to study dance at the Alvin Ailey Summer Intensive. Alvin Ailey is a five-week summer dance intensive in New York. Students take classes in dance, music, and art, discovering new creative tools and learning affirmations that allow them to flourish. They also participate in workshops to build leadership and communication skills while enjoying a variety of athletic and social activities.

In order for me to attend, I need to raise up to $6,000. I am asking for your help so that I may further continue my dance education. My goal is to become a professional dancer and this will help me get closer to that. Any donation would be greatly appreciated and would go towards furthering my dance education.
