My name is Jayden, and I’m reaching out for support as my family and I face a difficult time. Just yesterday, I underwent emergency surgery after a traumatic injury to my right arm. The doctors had to insert a tube to help my nerves grow back together, repair my muscles, and a specialist worked to save my arm, which now has only one artery left. I was care flighted for the procedure, and the recovery ahead will be long and uncertain. I’ll need months of physical therapy before I can hope to return to work, and right now, I’m unable to provide for my family as I always have.

I live with my girlfriend, who is studying to become a nurse and saved my life during this emergency. She’s only able to work once a week while balancing her studies and caring for our one-year-old daughter. We’re also caring for our pets, and the stress of keeping our family together is overwhelming. We need help with our mortgage and car payment, all while still paying off medical bills from our daughter’s birth. The added costs from my surgery and ongoing therapy make it even harder to keep up.
